Program Description

This course prepares students to develop culturally sensitive perspectives on healing modalities of different cultures and their application to current nursing practice. An international experience in London, England will facilitate a deeper understanding and appreciation of the art and science of being a healer and the evolution of nursing practice. The historical landmarks of Florence Nightingale, the British women who transformed the practice of nursing over a century ago, and current healthcare settings in England will be explored in the context of cultural care.

This program is for NUR 352-Exploring Transcultural Nursing and is being led by Professor Crook-Lockwood, Assistant Professor of Nursing.
